The JUST GARDEN PROJECT is helps lower-income members of our society develop food gardens. It is about reducing the barriers of $/education. It is about Food Justice and Fairness.
How it works: lower-income individuals can apply for assistance with materials from the Just Garden Project, which is fiscally sponsored bySeattle Tilth, a 501(c)3 non-profit.
CEL supports the program with logistics coordination and training youth/volunteers in some of the garden construction. People like you, the United Way of King County, Whole Foods, and MANY other businesses & organizations help support the mission with in-kind and financial contributions.
Individuals get 30-90% of their project cost reduced. However, it should be noted that the people still contribute money to (A) help with the program’s longevity and (B) achieve some level in buy in.
If you are an individual and would like more information about receiving some support for your garden, please contact Stephanie@justgarden.org
Financial contributions to this program will expedite the development. If you would like to support this program, please contact us and we’ll take it from there. Financial contributions will help build gardens AND help train youth to mentor new gardeners.
Garden Mentors are key. If you are an individual with food gardening experience and want to work with some newer gardeners, please contact us.
